Caltech’s 125th Commencement

I served as central project manager for the California Institute of Technology’s 125th annual commencement exercises in June 2019. Caltech is a private doctorate-granting research university in Pasadena frequently ranked one of the world's top-ten universities. With approximately 500 graduating students and nearly 3,000 total attendees, the 2019 Commencement exercises featured a keynote address from France A. Cordova, Director of the National Science Foundation, performances by the Caltech Commencement Brass and Glee clubs, and new technological elements such as a live social media feed. My responsibilities also included:

• Close oversight of event budget and management of vendors

• Oversight of multi-department planning team

• Management of all event-related internal and external communications including presidential announcements, email communications with graduating students, commencement.caltech.edu web content, and print collateral (including 52-page printed program and Commencement invitation suite).
