2016 Parsons Benefit

Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers
NEW YORK, NY, 2016

The annual Parsons Benefit is a New York fashion calendar highlight and introduces the next generation of fashion design leaders, honors icons in the field, and raises funds for student scholarships.

I was lead project manager for the 68th annual Parsons Benefit, a black-tie fundraiser gala with student fashion show, musical performances, and live auction. Held at Pier Sixty with presenting sponsorship from Maybelline New York, the 2016 benefit honored Sarah Jessica Parker, Arianna Huffington, Donna Karan, and Beth Rudin DeWoody, and was emceed by Andy Cohen. This red-carpet gala was attended by more than 700 people, had a 10-month project life cycle, and raised $1.9 million for student scholarships.

I served as the central point of contact for the event production company, Josh Wood Production, and all third party vendors and contractors. Internally, I collaborated with the Development Office to oversee the budget and project timelines, and ensured the goals of the many stakeholders were achieved through the event. I also spearheaded the first-ever inclusion of musical performances by The New School's School of Performing Arts.
